Cal Sennett, President Cal relocated from the Seattle area where, as an avid skier, he was familiar with many of the western ski resorts. He is one of the founding fathers of CFSS and he has represented CFSS on the board of directors since its inception in March of 1996. Cal was influential in getting CFSS into both the Florida Ski Council and the Crescent Ski Council. Orlando area ski retailers (Peter Glenn, Ski World, Travel Country Outdoors) all know Cal and support his efforts to promote the club in its auctions, drawings, & ski sales. Over the years, Cal has been able to secure discounted lift tickets, airfare, & even trips for the benefit of our members. You have to attend our meetings to get in on these deals!! Cal enjoys golf, tennis, RQball, & snow skiing He also likes traveling and entertaining with his wife, Sandy (Gordon) Sennett. Having spent over 25 years in the building industry, Cal is using that experience to help him develop a career in real estate…residential sales.
Jim Johnson, VP Marketing I’ve enjoyed skiing since I was 14 growing up in Detroit. My first taste of western Skiing cam during spring break from Michigan Tech when four of us drove to Aspen, stopping off at Vail on the way. After getting a job with Westinghouse after school, I would always try to work in at least one week out west with weekend trips whenever possible. After moving to Philadelphia, getting married and having two kids, my skiing dropped off to nothing for about 15 years. Joining this club six years ago, was just what I needed to get back on the slopes again.
Gary Blackmon, Treasurer A native of South Ms, Gary relocated to Orlando in October 2001. He experienced his first ski trip with CFSS in 1999 on a trip to Keystone and became hooked. Gary and his wife, Karen, have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, playing tennis and cooking. He is an accountant with Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund.
Carolyn Booth Carolyn Booth is a novice on the slopes but likes to travel and make new friends. She serves as Newsletter Editor on the Board of Directors. Carolyn lives in Apopka where she moved 12 years ago from Ft. Myers as a result of her husband’s job transfer. She has one son and two grandsons residing in Cape Coral, FL. Besides being an active real estate agent, she is involved in the Apopka Historical Society, Apopka Woman’s Club, Beta Sigma Phi, Florida House, Orange County Republican Executive Committee, Apopka Downtown Redevelopment, several Republican women’s organizations and Board member of her Homeowner’s Assn. and Architectural Review Board.
